We're not going to explain how to play Meowgic the card game - you can probably figure out the basic rules yourself, if you're familiar with other trading card games similar to Meowgic. However, in Meowgic we use some special meowgical words to describe the game play and card abilities, as described below.
Meowgical Words and Behaviors
- Tip a card - we Tip cards - In Meowgic, if a card has been activated, you might want to tap it, but actually we Tip it to indicate it is being activated!
- Alertness - you might say these critters are especially vigilant in their approach to battling!
- Defensive - these critters can not attack, they can only defend. They are defensive, and therefore good defenders.
- Quickstant - these cards can be played instantly, and is then done being played after this turn!
- Jumps Good - a critter that Jumps Good can jump good, and fight another critter that might be attacking from the sky!
- Grounds - we think that different types of Grounds are basically the same as different lands around the world!
- Life Point - like a hitpoint of life. If you don’t have any hitpoints of life, you are basically not alive, or shouldn’t be, and have been kitteh (or other critter) murdered.
- Death Offering - what people do when they want to sacrifice a critter or other thing to a god or some such thingamabob.
- Enchantmeownts - what Kitteh Whiskzards and other Meowgic Critters do instead of those silly “enchantments” that humans and other things might do.
- Sky Critter - a critter that knows how to get into, stay in, and do fighty fights all in the sky. So if you can’t get into the sky, then you can’t fight this critter unless it wants to fight you.
- Stampede - a critter that can Stampede will happily beat up anyone who tries to stop it, then keep going and beat up anyone else's Life Points, or whatever. It tramples on the idea that you can stop it from fighting you!
- Mythical Critters - critters that have legends written about them, mythical legends, it is better than mere legendary critters that have not entered the mythology of great heroes.
- Life Stealer - A critter that is a Life Stealer likes to steal Life Points, as much life as it does in fighty fight battle times, and gives it back to your Life Points.
- Whiskzardry - kittehs and other critters aren’t into sorcery, they prefer Whiskzardry because they like bad puns related to cat and critter names. Don’t you?
- Hustle - critters with Hustle are pretty quick to get moving - even quicker than a critter that is merely hasty.
- Item - the kind of thing you might keep in your backpack or fanny pack along with your other assorted equipment.
- Dash - a critter with Dash can dash right into the field of battle anytime, it can happen so quickly that within a flash the critter is there!
- First Swipe - a critter that can do the First Swipe gets to attack and beat up its opponent before the opponent can do anything in return.
- Spawn Critter - a critter that can be created and duplicated many times on the field of battle, you might even need to use some pieces of paper or other tokens to represent this kind of critter if you Spawn too many of them!
- Berserked - a Berserked critter must attack on each turn if it can do so, almost as if someone had goaded it into attacking.
- Unbreakable - if you try to destruct Unbreakable critters, you wouldn’t be able to - they are not quite destructible, unless you find some other way to break them.
- Jinxproof - these critters are safe from jinxs, hexes, and other such meowgical and similar rules based attacks.
- Boneyard - cards that are dead go to the Boneyard, which is a much fancier but just about the same place as a graveyard.
